[hum...a quick dip into the reference works netted me some mention of newspapers (one hopes there is no Pubescent Press, for all the hormonal upsets fit to print?), mail (again, I doubt that we are talking about the pubescent express, rushing from har to thar on horseback?), and some architectural business about post-and-lintel, referring to the upright post...I suppose that could be a masked reference to one of the masculine problems of that age, but I rather doubt it...thus I am forced to attempt a daffinition bare of reference, and almost of sense...] pubescent -- adj. arriving or having arrived at puberty. puberty - n. the stage at which a person's reproductive organs are in the process of becoming mature and he or she becomes capable of producing offspring. so is post-pubescent simply maturity, or does it refer to something beyond maturity (as post-modernism apparently refutes the modernity, producing declining wails and other short tails?)?
