Subject:      [WRITERS] FILLER: Going, Going, Gone?

[I thought I had a piece already written...but where?  files and
files, but not the right piles...okay, start over!]

If you want to take a break (makes no difference who...sorry, wrong
song), take these steps:

1.  Print this and save it somewhere...you'll need it in step 4.

2.  Send LISTSERV@mitvma.mit.edu a message with the text

SET WRITERS NOMAIL

3.  Go!  Have fun, relax, and take good notes, we'll expect a report
when you get back...

4.  When you get back and are ready (fingers limber!)...find the
printed copy...

5.  Send LISTSERV@mitvma.mit.edu a message with the text

SET WRITERS MAIL

and the flow of mail will start again (for those who wonder--it picks
up in media res, you don't get the mail from the period you were
nomail)

It's not necessary to let the list know you are going nomail (some
people do this to avoid the unfortunate "WHY AREN'T YOU ANSWERING ME"
syndrome that sometimes pops up...it's very hard to answer mail when
you haven't seen it...)
