um...just wondering, as we mention magazines, pages, newpapers, TV and
other bits and pauses...

which "the media" are we talking about?  I don't really think of even
the newspapers as this monolithic inhuman entity, so I'm having a
little trouble figuring out what we're yacking about...

incidentally, are we [this list] part of "the media"?  that's a
serious question--we write things, post them, and some number of
people read what we wrot (wrought? writ large? ).
