In amongst a lot of other words, there have been some assertions about
poetry...or at least a poem?

So, perhaps we could ask:

What is poetry?

(feel free to indicate what sets it apart from prose--if it is set
apart?  and perhaps the role of the "I," the "poet," punctuation, line
breaks, rock and rol...er, rhythm and bl...rhyme!  rhythm and rhyme
and such?  senses?  nonsenses?  oh, I suppose you might include some
clues as to what isn't poetry, if you prefer that cleavage of the
uninformed mass...)
