Don't tell me the story can go in more than one direction. -- I asked you not to TELL me that. Besides anything and FBI guy can do, one of us 'Control' agents can do better, faster, and with more romantic flavor." Back to normal voice, as you can hear. Well, there were two 'current episodes' written about the same time, but no problem, either one could end up at the diner for coffee. --------------- LL DeMerle wrote: --snip----- "Anybody for a cup o' joe? I don't know about you guys, but I am in need of a piece of pie." Wanda glanced down at the empty bakery box in the back window. She gingerly lifted the lid. Her eyes rested on one lone shrivelled up jelly donuit out of an obvious dozen. She announced to the others., "I think our host sorely needs his sugar fix." "Great!" Cooper enthused. "Next diner, we stop!" Merideth wrote: (referring to the bald man in a t-shirt) >"What color was his skin? And did he ware a hat? Ya aren't given me >enough to go on, sweetheart." > >The agent couldn't tell who had spoken. Unwilling to tip his hand, >though, he didn't inquire. "How is his race important, maam?" he asked. > >"Labeling. Sometimes what's in the bottle doesn't match what the label >says it is." spoke the unknown voice. ---- Looking toward Marget and then to the back seat at the others, Cooper shrugged off the mysterious voice, not wanting to consider it's source. He knew however it was intuition, similar to the dreams of short people and people speaking backwards yet forwards. He shrugged again. "You know," Cooper said, "I could really, really use that cup right now, as quickly as possible. We just passed exit 302 and it looked like the truck stop there had a coffee shop." No sooner had the G-Man muttered these words than Wanda, Mark and Morgan found themselves sliding across the back seat in response to the Toyota's sudden sharp turn. The two women held on to Mark, whom they, at the same time, were glaring at, as usual. The car completed it's u-turn and headed back to exit 302. Margaret who had been edging in her seat toward Cooper, suddenly found herself nearly in his lap. Her plans, however, would have to be put on hold. She knew this. Exit 302 approached fast, and she knew she'd just have to wait. Margaret moved back to the passenger side and looked out her window, into the distance toward the 'dunes', which were shimmering in the moonlight. She watched the sparkling rays dance and flitter across the glassy sand. And thought of dinner. ------ ------ --------------------------- Once upon a time there was a boy who met a girl and really liked her. He chased her to and fro and she ran like mad, but then she suddenly stopped and he caught her. They were happy for a long time. Then another boy chased her and she ran and the first boy stomped his foot and the second boy collided with the girl when she suddenly stopped. They were happy for a long time. The first boy cried. But finally she ran again, this time back to the first. She knew he was the one. She finally knew. He was hurt, but he took her back, because he knew too. They lived happily ever after.
