She began to make out more of the woman's features as she slowly neared. The person sitting by the road appeared to be a disheveled and very tired young woman, apparently out-of-gas too. But this poor soul had obviously been there quite a while and still no ride. Morgan began to feel more depressed than ever, but somehow happy at the same time. At least she was not alone. Morgan called out to the woman, who now was about 100 feet away. "Hey you, you ok? Out of gas?" The other woman turned to see Morgan. "Yes, yes," she said, jumping up, a look of huge relief on her face. "I thought I was all alone out here." The two women now ran toward each other. Meanwhile, the noise of their happy meeting didn't go unheeded. Mark, who still paced back and forth just around the corner, suddenly became very aware he was not alone. And the stranger in the shadows off the road realized he was luckier than he could have dreamed. His eyes widened and his heart raced as he eagerly began to change his plans for the bloody evening to come. He would have to accomodate one more. --and still continuing-- RobynA. (the perfect candidate for list kid.) writes: Mark sped toward the bend in the road, hoping to find the source of the noise. As he rounded the curve he saw two figures hugging and crying. He almost felt like crying himself. He rushed over to them. When the women turned and saw him, they dropped their jaws. Simultaneously the both stood still and gave him the evil eye. "Mark!" It came from both thier mouths at the same time. And Mark suddenly wished he hadn't been the crazy boy he was in college. God must have a sense of humor, because both of these women standing stranded on the same stretch of highway 41, were ex-girlfriends of Mark's. In the shadows, The Squisher noticed the women bristling to the man. He almost laughed out loud. If they disliked him it would be so much simpler to grab him first. He smiled slowly, with no humor. And then he sneezed, violently. Morgan turned around and looked into the shadows, "Hello? Is anyone there?" The others looked too. the could make out the vauge outline of a man.
