              Hear Ye, Shadows and Daemons of the Dark!
           The time is drawing nigh when the Spirits of the
         Underwurld will walk among us, feasting on our bile
               and sucking our marrow from our bones.

           Your quest -- to regail us with Tales both
                     Horrible and Horrific,
                         Dark and Dim,
                  Harrowing and Halloweenish.

                Length: between 1 and 3,500 words.
                       Short Stories only.
                Posting time: October 1st - 23rd.
               Voting: October 24th - October 30th.
           Winner revealed: All Hallow's Eve, Oct. 31st.

        Send entries to ME rather than the list to allow
        for anonymous posting.  Critiques ARE encouraged,
        as this *is* a writing list.  Please post critiques
                  to ME, and I'll pass them along.


        The Most Honored and Glorious Winners will receive
        a Wonderous, Fearsome Certificate, as well as a
        Handmade Glass Bauble of Paperweight Dimensions,
        as made by Her Most Gruesome Highness, the Mad
        Queen of the DAMMIT, IT SNOWED TODAY NorthWest.
        (And this year's winners won't have to wait as
         long as last year's winners.  I've already got
         a great and wonderous collection of glass bubbles
         on hand...)
