Or I bet Beast could too." > Myce Elf grabbed a tin of slightly stale biscuits from the Pantry O'Plenty and 5 cartons of JubyJuice (tm), and quickly stashed them in her pack. She leapt onto Tolstoy's broad back, and nudged him gently with her knees. "To the Hall of the Masters!" she cried with glee. "Let's see if there are any clues to why the Keep is deserted in there." Tolstoy bounded through the walls, taking his special effects ride for the day. Multiple colors of muted tones passed before Myce Elf's eyes before they arrived. Finally, after a five minute passage, Tolstoy padded softly to a stop within the Hall of Masters. A multitude of dark and somber portraits filled the hall. All of the past, present, and future Master's of the Dysmal Keep had their countenances in heavy oils upon these hallowed walls. Myce Elf was filled with a sense of awe and forboding as she walked softly down the hallway. Suddenly, she stopped. Set into a bend in the hall was a pair of her favorite pictures. The Master in the form of Christian, and the Mystress Raini's portraits were suppossed to be here. Christian's portrait had changed, his face bore a gloomy look, missing the familiar sparkle in his eye. Myce slowly turned to look at Raini's portrait. The woman in the portrait had long, red hair flowing over her shoulders in scarlet rivelets. She had glimmering bright blue eyes, and a pointed smile. A lock of hair was twirled around her right index finger. Myce peered closer at the brass name plate. "Oh no Tolstoy! Raini's portrait is missing! Who is this Syrilyn?" she exclaimed in horror. -- ------------------------------------------------------------ Kat Reinholz katroy@nh.ultranet.com
