Date: Mon, 30 Jun 1997 13:53:46 -0500 From: Phanny Subject: SUB: CONTEST: Final Entries and Voting Rules Some of you seem cornfused, so I am reposting the final list of submissions to the contest and voting rules. If you have questions, please ask me. Phanny The contest is now closed to further entries. Voting will be June 25 through midnight July 8. Results will be announced on Wednesday, July 9. Each entrant *must* vote in *each* category he/she entered, but may vote in all other categories, too. Entrants voting in entered categories will have *two* votes; the first one *must* be given to yourself, the second one to your other top choice. All others voting, and entrants voting in non-entered categories will have only one vote in each category. If an entrant does *not* vote in a category he entered, he will automatically lose one vote. Voting is always very close, making every vote count. Anitra will help me verify voting results, so I will be forwarding all votes to her. In the limerick category, please take into consideration the standard limerick form, allowing for slight variations. I will repost limerick rules in a separate post. This is an exercise in learning to write the standard, but as we discussed, slight variations are so common, you should not take off points for those. Anything beyond slight variations of the standard is not meeting contest criteria and should be taken into consideration. Please send votes to me privately. I will acknowledge all, so you know I received them.
