The blinding sun spilled onto the wood floor and the dust bunnies swayed in the light to a beat of their own. *warning - over writing alert - caution* A Hush swept over the barroom putting duct tape on each person's mouth. When his job was complete, naked Hush (looking a lot like Cupid) made a dramatic exit by winking over his shoulder and shaking his bare behind. Suddenly, CathyB filled the doorway with the flaring fringe of her buckskin skirt. A shotgun was strapped to her back and the butt of it could be seen over her right shoulder. Her keen eyes surveyed the room. She had a score to settle. It didn't take her long to locate the person in question. Sitting at a table in the back of the room was a large Arab man wearing a huge, checkered dress. He found joy in putting the "one size fits all" rule to the test by stretching black stockings over his masculine, hairy legs. But he found heaven in a bag of Cheetos. CathyB made her way to Omar's table and shook her head in discus at the orange stain on his cheeks, finger tips and the arch of his foot that he was forever scratching. Upon sight of her, Omar's eyes grew to the size of the "o" on his Cheetos bag. He frantically shook his head and leaned back in his chair. He was trying to mumble something but the duct tape hindered him. "Listen here, you... you..... cross dressing tentmaker! The last time I was in town, my black lace garter turned up missin'. I know you took it and I want it back. Now." Just as CathyB raised her right hand to go for her gun, the swingin' doors swung open again. A goofy looking, long eared Basset Hound stood under the doors while they rocked closed. In a breathless tone, she said, "Hi, everybody. My name is Bassie and I'm new in town." With a large paw, she flung a defiant ear across her back. "Could someone direct me to a hotel and help me with my bags?" The draped skin under her eyes sagged all the more as she beckoned for help. Satisfied that she had won over the crowd, Bassie sashayed her way to the bar. CathyB elbowed Omar. "My gosh! She sure does have a mean wiggle in her walk!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ And the beat goes on, And the beat goes on... Drums keep poundin' rhythm to the brain..... La da da de, La da da da.... - Sonny and Cher I heard it on the radio, got stuck in my head - now, I'm passing it on to you. You're welcome. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
