Where is the young woman from my past? Wrinkled cheek rests against the smooth surface Warm breath spreads across the cool plane Mirror, mirror, "Where have you hidden her?" I query the looking glass once again Beams of sunlight playfully sparkle upon the glass Transforming the room into a glittering fantasy Sunlight vanishes, I grasp for its magic But the mirror, cold and unfeeling, deals only in reality The looking glass remains firm and aloof Mirror, mirror on my wall, please show me fair I beseech the hardened piece of glass Sadly realizing, that I won't find myself in there My fingers trace an invisible path Sliding down the curved piece of glass Who is this shadowy reflection I see? Where is the young woman from my past? Wrinkled cheek rests against a smooth surface Warm breath clouds another cool plane Will I find my lost self, hidden in you? I question this new looking glass, once again A light shines from deep inside the tube At first my reflection is not so clear I type, "Does anyone see me?" Across the screen words begin to appear The glass reflects my gentle smile The room fills with the sound of my laughter I have found just a bit of magic I wonder if I will find what I'm after This new looking glass yields to my every mood Monitor, monitor, "Won't you show me once again fair?" Words appear, reflecting my long lost self Smiling, I know I have found myself there!
