Today you are the knight of my dreams,
the cream in my coffee,
the thread in my seams.

Today is only today and knows not tomorrow.


Today you are the smile on my face,
the gleam in my eye,
my orbit in space.

Today I am fashioned of joy and not sorrow.

the train to my engine,
my trusted caboose.

But today won't last forever, I fear.

Today has been known to spontaneously combust,
to wither with age,

just in case


tomorrow
