Date: Fri, 30 Jan 1998 23:37:21 EST From: The End of the Rainbow Subject: FILLER: VDC: A Statistic about Marriage...ONE? According to my (slightly dated) 1995 Information Please Almanac... The percentage of the population never married, all races, in 1993, both male and female, age 65 and over is just 4.4 percent. That means that 95.6 percent had been married by that age! Talk about a lot of stories just waiting to be told... All you have to do is pick a couple (of the 95.6 percent!), consider the wiles and wanders that led to them getting hitched, and tell us the tale. Ding-dong, the bells are going to ring... Most romantic! tink (Only ONE? yes, in case you didn't know, tomorrow, Jan. 31, at midnight, the WRITERS Valentine's Day Contest will close the entry gates in preparation for voting. So...WRITE FAST before the deadline! go to http://web.mit.edu/mbarker/www/val98/val.html for details...in a pinch, send your entry to Michelle and Anthony )
