![]() Residence Based Advising McCormick Hall is currently one of the two dorms and two cultural houses that participate in Residence-Based Advising (RBA). Resident Associate Advisors (RAA's) are upperclassmen assigned to work with a faculty/staff advisor and a group of 8-10 freshmen. Each RAA directs her advisees to MIT resources and helps them make academic decisions. She is also there if they need to talk about anything during their first year at MIT. In addition, the RAA's work with the Resident Life Associate (RLA) who is an MIT staff member assigned to guide the RBA program and to help organize monthly dormwide programs. Past programs have taught students how to manage a budget, how to eat healthy and how to find a great summer internship.
