    Hi ladies!

Since the weather is so nasty, instead of having people pay $5 to go to the Breakers soccer game today, we decided to be nice and let those who are interested go for free.  So, if you would like to go, please meet us in the McCormick Lobby no later than 6pm.  People who contact Chandra or me early will get priority and anyone who already paid for a ticket will be reimbursed.  Unless the game is delayed due to really bad weather, we should be back on campus by 9:30pm.

Since soccer games happen rain or shine, please be sure to dress appropriately.  Umbrellas are not allowed in the stadium, so wear a raincoat, poncho, or something waterproof and warm if possible.

I hope the weather doesn't stop you from coming to the game.  I look forward to seeing some of you in a few hours!

    Human Side of War:
    Experiences with WWII

“The story is based on the thousands of detailed and descriptive letters my father wrote from the Pacific theatre, and my detective work in re-creating the story of what happened in those years. After returning from the war, my father took his own life (I was 14 yrs old). My mother's story is not simple or easy either. I visited the Solomon Islands and the Philippines and interviewed many people, collected old photographs, and took contemporary ones in order to search out the places where my father was and the people he knew. The story is as much about my mother's heroism in holding the family together as it is about my father's more traditional heroism.”
