Postdoctoral Position
An opening is available for a post-doctoral associate to join the research team in Dr. Goosen's laboratory at the McGovern Institute for Brain Research. The Goosens lab uses interdisciplinary approaches to study the neural mechanisms of learning and memory and to identify novel therapeutic targets for anxiety and stress-related disorders. Combining neural recordings with viral-mediated gene transfer, the lab investigates how learned fear changes the brain's pathways, and links those changes to behavior.
The successful applicant will join a dynamic and growing MIT neuroscience community, with access to a broad range of the latest scientific technologies. Further information can be found at: http://web.mit.edu/mcgovern.
Requirements: Good organizational and leadership skills, strong work ethic, and an ability to work independently required. Background in molecular biology, including cloning and cell culture, preferred. Starting time negotiable.
