John Gabrieli's research on sex differences featured on national television news.

John Gabrieli's research was featured in a NBC national news report on January 14 [link]. The report, part of a series on gender differences, discussed Gabrieli's work on the brain mechanisms of emotional memory. In work published in 2002 while he was at Stanford University, Gabrieli and colleagues showed striking differences in the patterns of brain activation between men and women as they recalled emotionally charged memories. Gabrieli continues to study the relationship between emotion and memory in his lab at MIT.
