We are pleased to offer the MIT community more than 25 clinical
services and specialties, each staffed by top health care
professionals in the Boston area.
In addition to the services available on the Cambridge campus,
MIT Medical also provides internal medicine, pediatrics, neurology,
urgent care, and several support services at Lincoln Laboratory
in Lexington.
Eligibility
Most of our clinical services are available for no extra charge
if you're enrolled in the MIT Student Medical Plan, MIT Affiliate
Medical Plan, or Traditional and Flexible MIT Health Plans.
If you're not enrolled in one of our health plans, your health
insurance may cover some or all of your treatment at MIT Medical.
For most services, you also have the option of paying at the
time of your visit.
For information about eligibility for MIT Medical services,
please call our Billing Office at 617-258-5336, or visit the
Clinical Services link section of
the web site.
Community Service
All of us at MIT Medical are committed to serving the community
in which we live through our involvement on boards and committees,
as well as in programs that reach people where they live and
work.
We are a community of health care providers serving the community
at large, as we explore health issues and contribute to the
well-being of the people around us. Clinicians and administrative
staff, alike, give their time and attention to many different
activities and services. Some of these include:
- Community health programs, such as the Center
for Health Promotion and Wellness, MedLINKS,
the Personal Assistance
Program, and many self-help programs and support groups
- Collaborative programs, such as emergency response teams,
clinical consultations, co-sponsorship of the Health and
Wellness Fair, and participation in groups devoted to improving
campus life
- Training programs for pre-med, the Harvard Medical School,
MIT Medical's Mental Health Service, and the graduate
nursing program
