Directions to Cambridge and Lexington
By subway or bus
By subway, take the Red Line to the Kendall/MIT stop. MIT
is a half block from the stop.
Several buses also stop at the Kendall/MIT subway stop. For
subway and bus schedule information, visit the Massachusetts
Bay Transportation Authority web site at www.mbta.com.
If you drive, parking is free for patients who have their
ticket validated at MIT Medical.
By car from Interstate 93, north or south
- From I-93, take the Storrow Drive West exit, then the
right fork of Storrow Drive.
- Turn left at the stoplight.
- Take the first right and drive over the Charles River.
The Boston Museum of Science is on your left.
- At the next stoplight, turn left onto Memorial Drive.
- Follow Memorial Drive under the Main Street overpass and
past the Government Center/Boston exit for about half a
mile.
- Take the next right onto Wadsworth Street.
- Take the first left onto Amherst Street.
- Take the first right onto Hayward Street. The entrance
to MIT Medical's parking lot is the first driveway on the
left. Parking is free for patients who have their ticket
validated at MIT Medical.
By car from Interstate 90 (Massachusetts Turnpike), east
or west:
- From I-90, take the Cambridge/Brighton exit (exit 18).
- Follow the signs to Cambridge and immediately cross the
River Street Bridge.
- At the end of the bridge, turn right onto Memorial Drive.
Shell and Mobil gas stations are on the corner.
- Follow the Charles River on Memorial Drive for 0.5 mile,
then bear slightly left onto an overpass, staying on Memorial
Drive and avoiding the unmarked exit to the right.
- In another mile, bear left to stay on Memorial Drive and
go under the Massachusetts Avenue overpass, marked "for
cars only."
- Take the second left (there is a light at this intersection),
immediately before the green Kendall Square sign.
- After crossing Memorial Drive, you'll be on Wadsworth
Street.
- After one block, turn left onto Amherst Street.
- Take the first right onto Hayward Street. The entrance
to MIT Medical's parking lot is the first driveway on the
left. Parking is free for patients who have their ticket
validated at MIT Medical.

By public bus
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) bus
route 76 Hanscom Air Force Base/Alewife Station goes directly
to Lincoln Laboratory from the Alewife stop on the subway
line called the Red Line. The MBTA bus stop at Lincoln Laboratory
is a two minute walk from MIT Medical/Lexington.

Lincoln Laboratory/MIT campus shuttle
Lincoln Laboratory operates a free shuttle service between
the MIT campus (including a stop at MIT Medical/Cambridge)
and Lincoln Laboratory several times each weekday. For more

Free parking
There is ample free parking for patients directly in front
of MIT Medical/Lexington.
By car from I-95/128 southbound
- Take exit 31B onto Routes 4 and 225 towards Bedford.
Stay in right lane.
- Go .3 mile. At first traffic light use the right turning
loop to turn left onto Hartwell Ave.
- Go 1.3 miles and turn left onto Wood Street
- Go .3 mile and turn right at Wood Street Gate to Lincoln
Laboratory
By car from I-95/128 northbound
- Take exit 30B onto route 2A. Stay in right lane
- Go .4 mile. Just past the entrance to the Sheraton Lexington
Inn on your right, turn right onto Mass Ave--opposite Minuteman
Tech
- Go .4 mile and take your first left onto Wood Street,
just before the bridge over I-95
- Go 1.0 mile and turn left at Wood Street Gate to Lincoln
Laboratory
