Appointments

Whenever possible, we encourage you to make an appointment directly with your personal physician or one of our clinical services.

If you don't have a personal physician please call MIT Medical's main number, 617-253-4481, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for help. If you require TTY service please use 617-258-0656.

If you need to cancel your appointment, call us at least 24 hours in advance so we can give the time to another patient.

Appointment Tips
MIT Medical health care providers are committed to giving you the time and attention you need during your visits. But, there are several things you can do to get the most out of each appointment:

  • Tell us why you're making the appointment when you schedule it.
  • Allow enough time when you schedule your appointment to get to it without rushing.
  • Prepare a list of concerns before coming to the appointment.
  • Prepare a list of medications you're taking, including non-prescription products such as vitamins and herbal remedies.
  • Prepare a list of other health care providers who are treating you.
  • Keep a diary of your symptoms.
  • Arrive early the day of your appointment.
  • Voice your most important concerns first.
  • Ask questions to make sure you understand the treatment plan and follow-up requirements.
  • Consider bringing a friend or family member for potentially stressful visits.
  • Please let us know if your contact information has changed. Students should update their personal information in WebSIS.
