Request appointments with the click of a mouseWith Patient Online, MIT Medical's new online, personal health-management tool, MIT Health Plan Members can request appointments (and get automatic email reminders), update their personal information, view certain parts of their health history, and send secure email to participating MIT Medical clinicians. Patient Online is available through the MIT Medical website; to register for the service, just click on the Patient Online "login" button from the MIT Medical homepage at http://web.mit.edu/medical. MIT Health Plan lowers co-pays on generic drugsOn January 1, 2005, the MIT Health Plan will introduce a reorganized prescription-drug co-payment structure that will lower the co-payment for most generic, and certain brand-name, drugs. These "Tier 1" drugs-which represent more than 60 percent of the prescriptions our clinicians write-will now cost patients just $8 for up to a 30-day supply. The 30-day co-payment for "Tier 2" and "Tier 3" drugs will be $25 and $40, respectively. The MIT Health Plan offers up-to-90-day refills on most drugs, and for certain medications, 90-day refills cost patients just double the 30-day co-payment. |
