Find out what's new for
2007-2008 in the MIT
Affiliate Extended
Insurance Plan.
The MIT Affiliate Extended Insurance Plan is a PPO that
offers inpatient hospitalization and outside medical care
for illness and accidental injury. If you'd like to purchase
the MIT Affiliate Medical Plan but not the Extended Insurance
Plan, you must complete the Affiliate Medical Plan Enrollment
Form indicating that you have adequate hospital insurance
from another provider.
The MIT Affiliate Extended Insurance Plan provides extensive
coverage in partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts
(BCBSMA). If you use one of BCBSMA's in-network preferred
providers, the plan will cover most of the cost of your care.
If you use an out-of-network provider, you'll pay a larger
portion of the cost (please refer to Benefits-at-a-Glance
or Summary Plan Description for details).
MIT Affiliate Extended Insurance includes:
- Outpatient services outside MIT Medical, excluding
office visits. For more information about referrals
