As a registered MIT student, your tuition allows you to use most of our more than 25 clinical services and medical specialties free of charge, including:

  • Unlimited care by a personal physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant
  • Urgent care 24 hours, every day of the year
  • Stress management consultations
  • Mental Health services
  • Gynecological visits and related lab tests
  • Confidential testing for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Flu shots and vaccines (with co-payments for some vaccines)
  • Laboratory and other diagnostic testing and X-rays

Many other services are also free to MIT students. Exceptions include dental care, routine eye exams, and some vaccines and medications, though some of these are covered by the MIT Student Extended Insurance Plan.
