Internal Medicine

Internal Medicine physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, physician assistants, and clinical assistants work collaboratively to ensure that each patient receives the benefit of our individual specialties and clinical experience.

We emphasize health promotion and preventive medicine through exercise, good nutrition, routine gynecologic care including pelvic exams, pap smears and mammograms, colon evaluations, prostate screenings, cardiovascular exams, and stress management strategies.

We also specialize in the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and elevated lipids (cholesterol levels), as well as episodic illnesses that require more immediate attention. In addition, we can evaluate people suffering from anorexia, bulimia, and other eating disorders.

Getting Help
Our triage nurses are here to help if you're not sure whom to call or where to go. They can answer your health questions, guide you toward appropriate health care, and support you if you'd like to take care of yourself at home. They also see patients for routine blood pressure checks, tubercular skin tests, allergy shots, diabetic counseling, and routine immunizations.

Staff
For appointments, please call a triage nurse or your physician's, nurse practitioner's, or physician assistant's office directly at the numbers below. Internal medicine clinicians are available to anyone who's eligible for MIT Medical services. Adolescent medicine clinicians are available to young people, typically under the age of 18.
