MIT Medical's Orthopedic Service provides expert care for
a wide range of problems, including fractures, sprains and
strains, sports injuries, arthritic conditions, osteoporosis,
back pain, bursitis and tendonitis, and joint replacement.
We also offer physical therapy for musculoskeletal and neurological
problems.
To accommodate MIT's sports teams, we run sports medicine
clinics at the Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center (Z Center)
for student varsity athletes and at the Orthopedic Service
for all others.
Complex conditions, such as back or neck problems requiring
surgery, hand trauma and reconstruction, displaced fractures,
and other traumatic injuries, are referred to orthopedic surgeons
at Massachusetts General Hospital.
