Organize a summer outing

We are looking for volunteers to help lead outings for spouses&partners members in June, July, and August. You could organize a visit to a museum, a park, a restaurant, a movie theater, or any place you would like to visit! You don’t have to be an expert in the destination, you simply need to receive phone calls and email messages from interested members, and either arrange for a carpool or lead the group on public transportation. There are lots of fun things to do in Boston in the summer, and Jennifer is happy to help you organize a trip. Contact Jennifer at 617-253-1614 or reck@med.mit.edu.

Today we'll discuss interviews: how to dress, how to behave, how to answer questions (also tricky ones). Everybody is welcome, no matter where you are in your job search.

Volunteers needed for Orientation!

Please consider donating just a few hours of your time during the end of August to help with spouses@partners@mit’s Orientation activities.

Orientation is August 25-29. During this week, there are many activities and events that introduce new students to MIT and its resources. It is a wonderful time to get helpful information and meet new people. We need volunteers to help greet new spouses and share information about MIT and the Boston area.

You don’t need to speak English perfectly to participate. Also, you can bring your child with you to any of these activities. No experience necessary - but you probably will gain some!

Contact Jennifer Recklet at 617-253-1614 or reck@med.mit.edu for more information.
