Registration Day: Tuesday, September 9
9 AM in the Student Center (
W20), Room 491
First offered to international women who arrived here at MIT with their families in 1963, the League’s English Conversation Classes continue to make an impact on visiting women. Classes meet Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:15 am to 11 am and are offered at beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels at a cost of $80 per semester, which includes the cost of books and weekly social hour. Babysitting is available during class time at $150 per child. Childcare spaces are limited and are offered on a first come-first served basis. On registration day, students meet with teachers to determine their class levels. Classes begin on Thursday, September 11, when all students again meet in the Student Center, Room 491, at 9:15 am for class assignments. For more information, please email
