The Association of Student Activities [ASA] is the student-run governing body for MIT’s 450+ student organizations. The ASA maintains records of all existing organizations and approves new group recognitions. They also allocate office space, group bulletin board space, and mailboxes to recognized groups. Student organizations [both graduate and undergraduate] cover a wide spectrum of interests ranging from:

  • Academic
  • Performance Arts
  • Activism
  • Publications/Media
  • Cultural
  • Recreational
  • Religious
  • Service
  • Social
  • Technology-based groups

Student Organizations are a wonderful way to get involved, try new things, develop as a leader, and pursue passions!

Please see the ASA website http://web.mit.edu/asa for a full list of recognized groups.
