The Office of the Dean for Undergraduate Education (DUE) provides a framework of services that enables integrated student learning at MIT. These services include facilitating the transition of first-year students into MIT, helping students develop effective learning strategies, advising about academic issues and undergraduate research involvement, developing and promoting global educational opportunities, providing opportunities for hands-on experiential learning, administering UROPs, supporting student career development, and increasing student diversity. At the same time, DUE supports vital infrastructure services such as admissions, financial aid, registration, and graduation. DUE staff are available to meet with students to answer questions across this wide range of educational services.
The Office of Dean for Undergraduate Education encompasses the following offices: Admissions, Office of Educational Innovation and Technology, Office of Experiential Learning including Concourse, the Edgerton Center and Terrascope, Office of Faculty Support, Office of Minority Education, Global Education and Career Development Center, Registrar, ROTC, Student Financial Services, Teaching and Learning Laboratory, and Office of Undergraduate Advising and Academic Programming.
