The Office of Student Citizenship coordinates the formal student disciplinary process and other conflict resolution systems at MIT including Mediation@MIT. The primary purpose of the OSC is to help all members of the MIT community understand how the appropriate conflict resolution system can be used to support them in educating and developing students. The OSC supports the Committee on Discipline, all student-controlled hearing bodies, and can help you develop a system which best supports your individual culture and needs. These programs and services are designed to promote community standards of behavior and support the academic mission of the Institute by enhancing student’s academic achievement as well as personal and ethical development.
