Erin Shea was born in Ohio and luckily escaped to a far more interesting life as a physics undergrad at MIT.  She graduated long ago and took some time off to pursue other interests such as working on a horse farm and building trails in New Hampshire.  Tiring of a non-academic existence, she moved to California where she obtained a masters degree in Geology.  She moved back to Boston in 2008 to start her PhD work with Sam as her advisor. She can often be found in her office eating copious amounts of candy.  Seth Burgess was born and raised in northern California and relocated in 2007 to begin graduate work at MIT. His prior education includes a Bachelors degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and a M.S. in geology from San Jose State University. At MIT, Seth works with Dr. Sam Bowring in the EAPS geochronology lab.

Adam Bockelie is from Salt Lake City and grew up skiing, hiking, and rafting. He spent eight years ski racing for the Snowbird Ski Team, and was a member of the MIT Ski Team and Freshman Crew Team. Samantha (Sam) Fox is from a small town in Northern Michigan. She is a senior majoring in environmental engineering and minoring in environmental policy. Some of her activities include Panhel, Biodiesel@MIT, and CEESA(Civil and Environmental Engineering Student Association).   Tracey Hayse is from Lexington, Kentucky! She is currently a junior majoring in Course 1E, Environmental Engineering. Tracey took the Terrascope Radio class and looks forward to continuing to work with radio through the new Terrascope Youth Radio program.

Tanzania...Currently doing course 15 and also course 20. Have been doing terrascope for one year and absolutely loved it.



   Elise Hens is a sophomore this year in Environmental Engineering (1E) and wants to minor in Energy. She was apart of Mission 2012 and the water crisis, which was tons of fun! She hails from Colorado and loves the East Coast. She is involved with her new sorority, dancing, and just having fun!
 
Elizabeth Jones is a sophomore in Environmental Engineering. She did all three Terrascope classes last year and is very excited to be a UTF this term. She loves anything outdoors, reading, traveling, cooking, music, and MIT in general.   Ruaridh Macdonald is a sophomore from London, UK, studying Nuclear Science and Engineering (course 22!) here at MIT. He was involved in both projects last year and greatly enjoyed both. He also worked in a group this summer who investigated using CO2 for seasonal energy storage.
 
Michelle Slosberg is a sophomore majoring in environmental science in course 12.  She grew up in New Jersey and enjoys hiking, camping, cooking, and just about any activity that involves getting muddy or being outside.   Yangbo Du is a second-year major in economics and in his fourth year of research in energy economics and policy.  As part of the MIT Nuclear Fuel Cycle Study group, his recent work included an update to the economics section of the 2003 MIT report Future of Nuclear Power and characterization summaries of fission-fusion hybrid reactors for spent nuclear fuel management. 
Emily Moberg is a junior in Environmental Engineering. You can usually find her singing and dancing with the Musical Theatre Guild, making radio at WMBR, chilling with CEESA, or otherwise up to no good. She has a distinct penchant for chocolate-y ice cream.   Jennifer de Bruijnis Zimbabwean and a sophomore who refuses to choose between civil and environmental engineering. She thinks s'mores are the greatest American invention and had so much fun with Terrascope last year that she couldn't give it up.
Margaret Lloyd is a sophomore in course 10B, chemical engineering with biology, and is considering a minor in theater arts. She grew up in San Antonio, TX, went to high school in Sacramento, CA, and is now thoroughly enjoying the east coast! As a member of the MIT Cross Country and Track teams, Maggie can often be found out on a good run. Other than that, she enjoys writing for MIT's newspaper The Tech and listening to music!
