Fernando Haddad

Professor Fernando Haddad has been the Minister of Education of the Federal Government of Brazil since 2005, and has formerly been the Vice Minister of Education.

Professor Haddad has presided the Student Council (Centro Acadêmico) XI of August of the Law School of USP, and is a researcher for the Foundation & Institute for Research on Economics – FIPE/USP.
With a broad academic experience, Mr. Haddad is a Professor of Contemporaneous Political Theory at the Political Science Department of the Faculty of Philosophy, Language & Literature and Human Sciences, University of São Paulo (currently on leave).

He is the author of five books, among them “Labor and Language”, besides several book chapters and articles published nationally and internationally.He was Head of Cabinet of the Finance Secretary of the Municipality of São Paulo and Special Assistant to the Minister of Planning, Budget and Administration.
