Students
Welcome to our international network.
With partners here and abroad, we offer an extensive range of opportunities in academia and industry. You can choose among workshops, internships, study abroad, research collaborations — even permanent professional positions. Your role is to tell us your goals so that we can optimize your experience.
Who, what, when.
If you are a freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, graduate student, or recent alum, you are eligible to participate in MIT-Germany programs. We send 50-60 students abroad each year. In preparation, we help coordinate your interests with our partners in universities, research institutions, corporations, and organizations throughout Germany. We encourage stays of three months or longer so that you develop a deep sense of what it means to live a German life. The longer your stay, the greater opportunity you have to establish a lifelong network of rewarding relationships.
Know your neighbors.
To make the most of your experience, you should be advanced in the language. With a minimum of two semesters of German, you will already have the confidence you need not only to communicate, but to be productive in the German professional and cultural environment.
