Preparing for your internship in Germany
Once you have been matched with a host company or research institution in Germany, we will work with you to prepare for your trip. Preparations include:
- attending MIT-Germany training sessions
- obtaining a work permit and visa
- purchasing airline tickets
- finding housing in Germany
- info about your stipend and banking
- purchasing health insurance
- signing a risk and release form
MIT-Germany training
Students are expected to attend several training sessions throughout the spring to familiarize themselves with German culture and society. Topics include German politics, industry, research, current events and culture.
