India Innovation Fund*

The India Innovation Fund supports budding research collaborations between faculty and research scientists at MIT and their counterparts in India.

Through an annual call for proposals, the fund primarily supports travel, meeting and workshop costs incurred in India, including travel to India. Colleague(s) in India must be identified in the proposal. The average award is $30,000 (requests of up to $150,000 will be considered). Winners may be asked to present their projects in India.

Priority will be given to projects that:

  • propose a balanced exchange between the two teams
  • demonstrate complementarity between the two teams

The India Innovation Fund is a part of MISTI Global Seed Funds. All general MISTI Global Seed Funds criteria, application and evaluation procedures apply.
