Students > Internships

Look at your life and work through an Israeli lens.

An internship allows you to integrate your expertise in science, technology, or management with your interest in learning about Israeli culture. By working in an Israeli research institution or company, you gain an Israel-based perspective on the latest work happening in your field.

The MIT-Israel Internship Program is open to MIT undergraduate and graduate students as well as recent alumni. We offer three-month summer internships (June-August) or longer internships (after graduation or while enrolled in a Ph.D. program) in dozens of corporations and research institutions across Israel.

How it works.

  1. Interview.

Sit down with us and tell us your goals for an internship in Israel. We'll share with you the resources we have at our disposal and discuss possibilities and requirements.

  2. Apply.

    Complete the online application form.

  3. Acceptance Letter

We will notify you about the outcome of your application. If you have been accepted, we will forward your resume, statement of purpose, transcripts, and letters of recommendation from teachers or previous employers to organizations we think will be interested.

  4. Review the host's proposal.

Once the company or research center selects you as a potential candidate, it will send you a short project proposal for your evaluation.

  5. Reach agreement.

You and your host institution reach an understanding about the details of the proposed internship.

  6. Work with us.

We facilitate logistics and work closely with company representatives during your internship. (See Practical info.)

  7. Provide feedback

When you return from your internship, let us know what worked and what didn't. We will evaluate the program from both the student's and the company's perspectives.
