Preparing for your internship in Italy
Once you have been matched with a host company or research institution in Italy, we will work with you to prepare for your trip. Preparations include:
- attending MIT-Italy training sessions
- obtaining a visa
- purchasing airline tickets
- finding housing in Italy
- info about your stipend and banking
- receiving health insurance
- signing a risk and release form
MIT-Italy training
Students are expected to attend several training sessions throughout the spring to familiarize themselves with Italian culture and society. Topics include Italian politics, industry, research, current events and culture.
