Progetto Rocca
University Collaborations
The MIT-Italy Program sends students to many of Italy’s best labs and research institutions. Every year, for example, several MIT students improve their math skills at the Scuola Matematica Internazionale di Perugia, thanks to our collaboration with the Unione Matematici Italiani.
In addition to working with many universities, we have a few more extensive partnerships with select universities and foundations which are invested in establishing long term collaborations with MIT labs based on two ways exchanges and shared research interests. The Progetto Rocca—supported by the Fratelli Agostino and Enrico Rocca—with the Politecnico of Milano—and the MITOR Project—supported by the Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo—with the Politecnico of Torino have launched many new joint projects and supported research stays at MIT and at the Politecnici. Faculty and students interested in participating in these programs should contact us or visit their respective websites: Progetto Rocca and MITOR.
In the next couple of years, we are considering launching a very small number of additional partnerships with universities whose areas of excellence match MIT’s. If interested please contact us.
