Program requirements
Korean language
> Undergraduate Requirements: Undergraduate students are required to have 2 years of Korean language training or equivalent.
> Graduate Requirements: Language requirements can be waived for graduate students depending on available opportunities at internship hosts, but language study before and during the internship is strongly encouraged
Standing at MIT: You must have a grade-point average of 4.0 or higher
Duration: 9 to 12-week summer internships; 6-12 month opportunities also possible
Training: Attend a series of evening training sessions addressing topics in Korean culture and society as well as practical information about living and working in Korea. These will be held during spring semester.
We are unable to place students with a criminal record or Institute history of disciplinary action.
Application Deadline
To be considered for placement in the summer you must submit all of your final application materials and meet with the manager by November 30 of the prior year. We will accept applications on a rolling basis for placements at other times.
