Preparing for your internship in Korea

Once you have been matched with a host company or research institution in Korea, we will work with you to prepare for your trip. Preparations include:

  • attending MIT-Korea training sessions
  • obtaining a visa
  • purchasing airline tickets
  • arranging housing
  • determining stipends and banking arrangements
  • purchasing health insurance
  • signing a risk and release form

MIT-Korea training

Students are expected to attend several training sessions throughout the spring to familiarize themselves with Korean culture and society. Topics include Korean politics, industry, research, current events, and culture.
