MIT Spain

Students > Study in Spain

The MIT-Spain Program organizes tailor-made study abroad opportunities for MIT students with leading Spanish universities. Study abroad stays are possible for one or two semesters and may include an internship component. Individualized study plans take into consideration the special needs of MIT students.

MIT-Spain currently supports two study abroad opportunities in Spain:

Study at the Institut Quimic de Sarria (IQS) Barcelona:

Study abroad for students in chemical engineering and chemistry. For more information, contact Dr. Mercedes Balcells-Camps.

MIT Chemical Engineering student Xin He (center) with
colleagues at IQS.

Madrid Program:

This program runs during the spring semester only. If you are interested in studying in Madrid, please contact the Global Education Office (GEO).

Transfer credit for courses taken abroad will be arranged in consultation with the transfer credit advisors of the different departments.
