Area I Language And Culture
Students can choose either two or three subjects from this area and choose those subjects in consultation with the Minor Advisor First-year language subjects do not count towards the Minor. Students have the option to enroll at Harvard and Wellesley for languages that are currently not offered at MIT. Following is a suggested list of subjects that fall within Area I.
