Founded in 1997, the MIT-Germany Program has quickly become a model of international education for engineering, science, and business students. By offering internships, workshops, and an engaging curriculum, we provide participating students with an in-depth understanding of German language and culture, as well as research and business practices.
Through the MIT-Germany Program, MIT students have:
- designed VIP aircrafts at Lufthansa Technik
- developed carbon nanotubes at Bayer
- researched experimental plasma physics at a Max Planck Institute
- built models for zero-energy housing in an architecture studio
The MIT-Germany Program also provides an arena in which German leaders in business, science, politics, and culture can present their perspectives to an American audience. We organize events to engage the community, including conferences, films, lectures, and workshops.
