In addition to the speech, A. Panagopoulos will participate in informal events on Thursday, November 13 at the Dpts of Ocean Engineering and  Architecture.The focus of these sessions will be on: challenges in the design of the next generation ferry ship & high-speed ferry transport and its impact on the urbanization of islands in the Aegean Sea.

Finally, A.Panagopoulos will also conduct interviews for internships offered by Superfast during the IAP period (January 2004) and Summer 2004.

Speaker bio:
Since 1993, Mr. Panagopulos is the President and CEO of Superfast Ferries S.A., worldwide shipmanagers for Attica Enterprises.
Superfast Ferries operates ferry routes in the North Sea, the Baltics, and the Adriatic Sea in Europe and is the largest and fastest growing ferry operator in Europe today.

Other positions held by Mr. Panagopoulos include, Chairman of the High Level Ferry Group of ECSA (European Community Shipowners' Associations), Member of the Board of the International Marine Transit Association (IMTA-Interferry), member of the Greek Entrepreneurs Association and the Board of the Association of Greek Tourist Enterprises (SETE).
