Recent News MIT-JYAA: Mission

MIT-JYAA is a group of alumnis that try to provide help and assistance to current or recently-graduated students of MIT that are currently living or are trying to live in Japan. We hold social activities, career development and job finding opportunities, personal development opportunities, and essential living information and assistance. We believe that this specific population of MIT students and young alumni in Japan can establish a powerful community that can offer personal, professional, and social development as well as fundamental support for the members of the community.

Many of us are attempting to find, not just a sustainable life, but a fulfilling life in a foreign country. Many of us are starting or finding a new career. Students and recent alumni of MIT living in Japan have very distinct needs that are best addressed by a community of peers that have faced or are currently facing similar issues and concerns. We will actively search for and provide assistance to recent graduates, interns, and newly-admitted students to utilize the resources within our organization.

We are also a group of very capable individuals with a lot of potential professionally. We will leverage our resources efficiently by creating a self-nurturing community and promoting our existence to corporations and other organizations.
