MIT IP Connections

Joint Program students whose principal academic or thesis supervisor is at WHOI and who have need for an MIT IP connection may apply by email message or memorandum to Dr. Jim Price, Associate Dean, WHOI Academic Programs Office for authorization to have the IP charges supported by the Academic Programs Office Account at MIT. The JP student request must be accompanied by an email message or memorandum from the student's advisor indicating the advisor's support of the request. In consultation with the academic/thesis supervisor, the Associate Dean will determine whether or not a charge to Academic Programs Office accounts or to the advisor or student's research funds is the most appropriate way to reimburse the cost. The Academic Programs Office will then notify the Joint Program Administrator at MIT of the approval for using the account and she will provide the account number to the student.
