Alumni Membership
MIT alumni may join the MIT Energy Club as "local" members or "global" members. Local members receive the same weekly emails as the rest of the Club. Global members will receive only a semesterly Energy Club Newsletter. Global membership is recommended for members not residing in the greater Boston area.
Energy Mentorship Program
The MIT Energy Club runs an "Energy Mentorship Program" that intelligently links up students and alumni with interests/careers in energy. This program, founded in the 2005-2006 academic year, brought together more than 50 MIT students and alumni last year.
The mentorship relationship in this program is informal and the level of interaction is completely up to the desires of the participants. The only firm commitment required of participating alumni is attendance at the annual "MIT Energy Mentorship Reception" [2008 date, time, and location TBA]. (MIT professor and then Energy Research Council Chair, Ernie Moniz, spoke at first year's invite only Reception.)
