“Energy Infrastructure from the Vantage Point of Carbon Capture and Sequestration”

The objective of the first part of the discussion is to examine the components of energy infrastructure, their interactions, and methods and tools for understanding this system. The second part looks at energy infrastructure from the vantage point of Carbon Capture and Storage Technologies.

Key Questions

  1. How do different segments of the energy infrastructure interact? (10 min)
  2. What methods and tools are useful in understanding this system? (10 min)
  3. What are the critical technical uncertainties with CCS technology? (10 min)
  4. What are the key public policy issues facing CCS? How are these likely to be resolved? (10 min)
  5. What companies are best poised to develop and profit from CCS technology? (10 min)

Bonus question: What are the opportunities for using CO2 as a feedstock in other processes?
