The Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 has three sets of major new standards: Vehicle efficiency, renewable fuels, and energy efficiency. Sort through what it all means with three experts from the Technology and Policy Program.

Key Questions

  1. What are the new energy efficiency standards and what impact will they have on US electricity demand?
  2. What are the new renewable fuel standards and how will fuel production and transportation markets react?
  3. What are the new CAFE standards for vehicles and what is different with respect to structure, stringency and savings?
