Meating begins 19:02

Yuran describes mitbeef and events it runs, such as the Great American
Meat-In and the beef cook-off.  These are spring-term events.  Do you
have ideas for the fall term?  Send them to mitbeef@mit.edu.

Traditionally elections are held during the second meating of term.
Nominations are made: each of the current high council members is
nominated for their current position.  Also, Andrea is nominated for
the position of publicity director.  If you have more nominations, or
suggestions for the name of the new position, send them to
mitbeef-exec@mit.edu.  Ideally the name should be related to a bovine
song; see https://web.mit.edu/mitbeef/www/mp3/ for inspiration.

Someone asks about our budget.  We have about $1000 per term; $600 for
events (such as this meating); $150 capital items; $100 advertising
(beef jerky); some funds for operational expenses (other meatings).
